Greetings to everyone, especially those of you also blogging here; it’s a real pleasure to have been asked to contribute to the blog portion of the site. I had intended to start with some more substantial comments. But just to kick things off, let me start with a post that more or less resembles the sort of thing that daily bloggers throw out to readers: a query:

Some 2-3 hours ago the Kha-brda web site posted a report received from a friend in Beijing that the United Front Office was astir with preparations for an impending visit by representatives from Dharamsala, all sick leaves having been cancelled. Do any fellow bloggers here have information? The report seems to be otherwise unconfirmed…
