Explosion demolishes police cars in Qinghai

Tibetan residents of the western Chinese province of Qinghai clashed with police on Sunday. Later, two police cars were destroyed by explosions.
The official Xinhua news agency reported that about a dozen Tibetan people were protesting before a police station in the Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in support of a Tibetan lumber truck driver who was stopped at a checkpoint. It also reported that the blasts, caused by handmade bombs, took place early Monday morning near the site of the clash.
